Oceans fish & chip and kebab shop

Look at the that big boy, get yourself a Fish Special for just £5,80! A Good size fish, full meal portion that will fill you up, and maybe some left over for supper. Delicious fresh fish with the best crispy batter. I like it cooked fresh Best, and friendly service while you wait. Or if you fancy something different, you might be tempted by their Fried chicken, or Kebabs as well. If you want to Best Fish and chip around, get yourself down to Oceans! Once you been here, you will not want to go anywhere else.

Theres chip shops and there’s chip shops…. These guys are pros. Got chip shop awards, the lot (look inside at the hall of fame). My nick name is “Chippy John” because I love chips and testing em out. I have been to many chip shops in my time. Running a chip shop needs skills and these guys have them. They have special deals on every day. My favourite being the half price kebab, lush. Comes big and fresh with all salad. A nice clean chippy with no smoking going off, you need to give them a try. Tell em “Chippy John” sent you 😉

Great fish and chips at a great price. Good crispy batter. I like they keep open on a Saturday afternoon as I don't get hungry until 2-3 o'clock

Really tasty chips. Big fish was actually classed as a medium. Generous tub of peas. (Bigger than normal large). Donna meat thinly sliced and tasted beaut. More than enough for our treat lunch meal for a little of over a 10 spot! Son a and I chuffed to bits. Polite young man, who served reassured us that size of portions were generous and they was. Super happy to have come across this high street old school chipshop. Top marks and real good tasting food. Not surprised to see that it award winning. A big menu with alot of extra bits to choose from. Many thanks. Will he retuning for sure whem Im back over this way.

My Nan ordered 18 portions of fish & chip for collection for a family get together today. The food was ready on time, the fish was fresh & the batter was lovely & crispy. All of the food was hot & the service was fantastic. For such a large order you would be concerned about potential issues or missed food but everything was great, as ordered & no missing items. Deffo the best chip shop around Carlton!

I’m currently living in Taiwan, but I’ve decided to write a review for this fish and chip shop because I’m originally from Nottingham. When I lived there, I stayed in Carlton Hill with my family, and the food from this place suddenly came to mind, which shows just how memorable it is. I used to go there regularly, and I can honestly say they serve not only the best fish and chips I’ve ever had but also the best kebabs. Everything is always freshly cooked, generously portioned, and full of flavour. The fish is perfectly crisp on the outside and soft and flaky inside, and the kebabs are outstanding. They are juicy, well-seasoned, and never greasy. What makes this place even better is the warm and friendly service. The owner and his son are always welcoming and kind, and they create a real sense of community. You can tell they truly care about the food they serve and the people they serve it to. As soon as I move back to Nottingham, this will be the first place I visit. I genuinely miss it.
